The Carson Creek Drain was originally improved under the Drainage Act in 1961. In accordance with the Drainage Act, the Town has responsibility for the management of this drainage system. Currently the drain has large sections of bank erosion, blockages, and sediment load issues - which is why it's a priority that we aim to address. While we originally planned to hold a site meeting, in-person restrictions limited our ability to gather in-person to provide an outline on the process of this municipal drain improvement project and receive feedback from the watershed residents.
Instead, an online presentation has been provided by the Engineer to help inform stakeholders - but you still have the opportunity to connect with us. We encourage you to submit your feedback below, or submit a question to our project team. We will also be consulting landowners and other stakeholders within the watershed through an information Stakeholder Information Meeting. All potentially affected stakeholders will receive a notice ahead of the meeting.
