The Town is working on updating the long-term plan for the Civic (Town) Campus, located generally at the corner of Innisfil Beach Road and Yonge Street. Staff are working to create a comprehensive plan for the Civic Campus to guide its land use, design, and growth to 2051.
On March 16, 2022, Staff presented their preliminary directions for the campus to Council. The staff report along with a summary of results from a resident survey have been linked in the document library on the right sidebar of this page. A full recording of the staff presentation and Council's comments is also available for viewing on the Town of Innisfil Youtube page.
Virtual Open House
We held a Virtual Open House on April 11, 2022. Thanks to everyone who joined and asked questions! You can watch the recording that discusses feedback we've heard from the community and next steps on our YouTube channel.
Background Information
The Town of Innisfil is creating a comprehensive Master Plan for the Civic Campus to guide its growth, vision, and policies to 2051. The announcement of the new RVH Hospital has created a unique opportunity to incorporate a range of future health service offerings into our existing recreational and community service hub. See the RVH page for more details.
The planning team is evaluating new amenities and services on campus, including:
Incorporating health services and related employment within and around the campus;
Diversifying recreational offerings, including an expanded four season trail network for walking, snowshoeing, or cross country skiing
Creating park and open space to gather, socialize, and connect;
Introducing new community facilities for large gatherings and enjoyment of the arts
These and other proposed changes could complement the recreational, health services, and community services on your Civic Campus.
