Consultation has concluded

Innisfil’s new Town Square is now complete, the Grand Opening was held on January 27, 2023.

This "downtown" Town Square is like no other. Over the years, we've heard our residents loud and clear - you want more fun things to do close to home. Through the Town Square Public Engagement, we heard that you wanted more places for social interaction, a splash pad in Alcona, a skating trail, and more unique spaces for you to enjoy. Whether that be a spot to have a picnic with your family, go for a walk with friends, or simply hang out reading a book, we have a spot for you.

The Town Square includes:

  • Refrigerated skating trail
  • Fire Pit
  • Stage and event space
  • Splash Pad
  • Playground
  • Trails
  • Washroom and Concession Stand

    After many conversations with the community and lots of planning, the design is complete! We're so excited for Innisfil residents to utilize this beautiful and versatile community space, and we hope you are too.

    When complete, the park will include the following amenities:

    • Ice Skating Trail 
    • Fire Pit
    • Skateboard Features
    • Pavilion/Winter Warming Hut with Washroom & Concession Stand
    • Stage with Seating Terraces
    • Splash Pad
    • Playground
    • Roof top Lookout with Slide to Playground
    • Woodland Trail
    • Space to accommodate the Farmers Market

    Thanks to your community feedback we have a design schematic for our Town Square that includes walkable paths, water play features, an ice skating trail and plenty of opportunities for the community to gather.

    The following Design Schematic was presented to Innisfil Town Council on May 22, 2019. It was created using community feedback from the online and in-person consultations conducted throughout April 2019. PMA Landscape Architects Ltd. developed the schematic.     We want to know what kind of opportunities are missing in downtown Alcona. Would you want to see an outdoor market here? A skating trail? Some firepits? A splashpad? Let us know below!
